I began making pottery as a creative outlet four years ago during the pandemic. Over this time, it grew into more than a hobby, encouraging me to leave my career as a software engineer. My pottery style incorporates inspiration from both Japanese/Korean potters and blending those with American traditional tattoos.
I have been a skateboarder for 25 years. I like to apply the same mindset I have for skating to my pottery: where repeated failure ultimately leads to success. My goal is to teach in a way that incorporates this philosophy, by cultivating a safe space for learning where mistakes and failures are welcomed and encouraged as part of the learning process. Additionally, like skating, pottery is something that brings people together, and the success of one person is felt by everyone.
